Kananikala Bishaw-Juario coordinates PCNC activities here at Kaunakakai School.

 

Parking for parents is along the south fence on Kamehameha V Hwy or along Ailoa Street.  Parking lots on campus are for staff members and official visitors only, except for the 2 handicapped parking stalls for those with handicap placards/license plates.

 

Parent visits and observations.  There is a "request for observation" form and protocol for parents who want to observe their child in school.  Please call the office, 567-7200 for more information.

 

KAUNAKAKAI SCHOOL SAFETY PLAN PARENT GUIDE

In the event of an emergency, a Kaunakakai School Crisis Management Team will activate the School Messenger automated calling system to notify you of the emergency and location of your child.  Please do not call the school as we will need the phone lines open to communicate with emergency personnel. 

 

The sign-out procedure is always to check in with a Crisis Management Team member first (wearing an orange vest) and they will direct you to the sign-out table/area.  A runner will retrieve your child once you’ve signed them out.  A child can only be picked up by a parent/guardian, or person listed on the emergency card.  Please notify the office of any changes in emergency contacts and phone numbers as soon as possible.
